The terms for using TraceX.
These terms govern your use of TraceX. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent.
Last updated October 30, 2026
The Service
TraceX investigates issues in the systems you connect, answers questions about them, drafts replies and code changes, and reviews pull requests (the “Service”). It includes the website, the app at app.tracexpro.com, the TraceX CLI and our integrations.
Private beta
TraceX is in private beta. During the beta, the Service is provided free of charge, features may change or be removed, and usage limits apply. We'll tell you before the beta ends and before any paid plan applies to your workspace.
Accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the users your organization invites.
- Tell us right away at hello@tracexpro.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
Your data
You own the data in the systems you connect and everything TraceX produces from it for you. You give us permission to access and process that data only to provide the Service to you. You confirm that you have the right to connect those systems and to let TraceX read them.
Connected systems
Connect databases with read-only credentials. TraceX runs only read-only queries and never writes to your databases, and code changes are offered as pull requests that your team reviews. You remain responsible for the systems you connect and for any change you choose to merge or apply.
AI-generated output
TraceX uses AI models. Its root causes, answers, replies and code changes cite their evidence, but they can still be wrong or incomplete. Review them before you rely on them, send them to customers, or merge them. In coding mode, the CLI asks for your approval before every edit and command.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law or anyone else's rights;
- connect systems you aren't authorized to access;
- probe, overload or interfere with the Service, or get around its limits or security;
- build a competing product by copying the Service.
We may suspend access that puts the Service or other users at risk.
Third-party services
The Service works with tools such as GitHub, Slack, Jira, Gmail, Sentry, Datadog and AWS, and with AI model providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. If you bring your own model key, your usage is billed and governed by your agreement with that provider.
Fees
After the beta, paid plans are described on the pricing page or in an order form. Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Our intellectual property
We own the Service and everything we provide as part of it, apart from your data. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using TraceX and close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. When the agreement ends, we delete your workspace's information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”, especially during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its output will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, TraceX won't be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll let workspace admins know before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
